Light in Jerusalem 2010 will take place June 9th-16th from 20:00-24:00. The displays will shut down at midnight.

  • On Friday, June 11th the festival will be closed.
  • The festival activities will resume Saturday night, June 12th , from an hour after the Sabbath has ended until midnight.

The public is invited to stroll along the Old City alleyways, outdoor performances and artwork independently and free of charge.

The festival map can be download here or picked up at the festival’s information centers located at Jaffa Gate and Hurva Square.

During the festival there will be two performances with a charge: The Light Concert and The History of Light.

In addition to the Light Fixture Design Fair at the Cardo, the permanent Cardo shops will be open during the festival.

Parking Lots:

The Old City will be closed for traffic from 19:00 until closing. Attendees are welcome to park at:

Safra Parking Lot: Is open all day except on Friday from 14:45 until Saturday night at 21:30.
From 16:10 parking costs 12 shekel for the whole evening.
On Saturday night parking is free of charge.

Mamilla Parking Lot: Is open every day until 24:00 and cars can exit all night.

Handicapped Accessibility:

In the Old City: In general the festival takes place in the Old City alleyways and streets that are mostly handicapped inaccessible (stairs, narrow and curvy alleys). For specific information regarding accebility accessible, contact Telem 02-6283415 extension 2.

The opening performance will take place at Sultan’s Pool. Performances at Sultan’s Pool are handicap accessible. Upon ordering tickets inform the teller. Entrance for the handicapped with a car is accessible only through the gate close to the Cinemateque.

The History of Light will take place at Habonim gardens. The entrance to the performance is through an unstable road.
